Ariarne Titmus is an Australian swimmer and the reigning Olympic champion in the women’s 200-metre and 400-metre freestyle. She currently represents the Cali Condors, which is part of the International Swimming League.
Titmus finished 17th after the heats in the 200M free, failing to make the semifinals, with a time of 1:58.79. Titmus then finished fourth in the 400M free with a time of 4:04.26, just out of medal contention. Her time broke her own National Age Group Record she previously set at the Australian Trials. This swim is the fastest by any Australian 18 and under, and puts Titmus fourth on the all-time Australian rankings.
Ariarne Titmus was born on 7 September 2000 in Launceston, Tasmania. By profession, she is an Australian swimmer. She completes her education at the local school & college of Australia. In 2015, Titmus and her family moved from Tasmania to Queensland for better training opportunities.
